What's Black And White And Red All Over?

I know this is breaking from the normal pace and musical stylings of this blog, but... The White Stripes are putting out a new album on June 19th called "Icky Thump" and their first single, "Icky Thump" is unbelievable. The term "Icky Thump" is derived from the Yorkshire slang term: "Ecky Thump" or an exclamation of surprise. Yorkshire is also where Jack White's new wife hails from and understandibly the inspiration for the title. Also, Jack gets political on this one, not hesitating to comment on the US' problem with immigration. This song is reminiscent of "Blue Orchid" and their earlier more agressive tracks. The album was recorded in Nashville, the city with possibly the most "ghosts" in America and after about a year of the duo being apart. That might have been for the better because this song is one of the best rock songs that has been released in quite a while.
